ABOUT JULIA FAILEY

Julia Failey Eco Friendly Jewelry BoutiqueThe beauty in nature is always inspiring to Julia, and her love for wildlife and the great outdoors is apparent throughout her collections. Her grandmother, a fashion influence and model environmental philanthropist, opened her eyes to the beauty in small details. From a young age, Julia was exploring the outdoors, collecting rocks, minerals, bones, and fossils. Her pursuits in fashion were spawned when she started integrating pop art elements (splatter paint on Keds was all the rage) and found objects into clothing, shoes & accessories. Julia sold her designs at lemonade stands across the neighborhood under the label "Tree House Art". After graduating from Davidson College, Julia Failey moved to New York City to pursue a career in the art world. Her passion for jewelry evolved in studio classes, and her desire to learn more led to an apprenticeship with a master jeweler on Maui and graduate degrees from the Gemological Institute of America. After building a solid foundation in design, gemology and fabrication, Julia Failey launched her jewelry line in 2008.

Julia Failey uses reclaimed metals to reduce environmental impact, and her concern for the preservation of natural resources is also reflected in her designs. Uniquely appealing with both style and substance, the Julia Failey collections are fashionably fresh and timeless. Julia's designs have been featured in Lucky Magazine, Real Simple, VOGUE Japan & US Weekly, as well as The Today Show. Celebrity fans of Julia Failey include Cindy Crawford, Kate Bosworth, Vanessa Minnillo & Ashley Jones. In 2007, the Women's Jewelry Association Midwest Chapter nominated Julia for the rising Star Award.
